What’s under the hood of the 2021 Cherokee?
There are three available engines for the 2021 Cherokee, and each delivers a strong amount of power. Standard the first few trims is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that pumps out a capable 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque that pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Moving to the premium Latitude Lux trim gets you the option of two wonderful engines. The first is a 3.2-liter V6 that delivers on the power with 271 horses and 239 lb-ft of torque, and the second is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that comes with 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Both of these engines pair with the nine-speed automatic transmission. Most Cherokee’s come standard with front-wheel-drive and offer four-wheel-drive as an option. However, the Trailhawk comes standard with all-wheel-drive.
