Ford EV Charging Station Near Me

With your Ford all-electric vehicle, the places you can stop to power up are as wide open as the places you can go to unwind. Ford created the BlueOval Charge Network to access the most significant public charging network, with over 19,500 public charging stations, 15 of which are in Milwaukee alone and over 63,000 plugs across North America. There are three ways to charge your electric vehicle: the Ford Connected Charge Station, the Ford Mobile Charger, or a public charging station on the BlueOval Charge Network. In addition, Ford offers 250 kWh of complimentary charging within the BlueOval Charge Network. Drivers can activate this feature in the FordPass App to automatically activate and pay for charging. You can also find charging points along your route with the help of the FordPass App.

What is a Level 1 EV Charger?

All Ford EVs come with a Level 1 home-charging cable that is easy and reliable. Level 1 is the slowest type of charging equipment. These chargers plug directly into a standard 120-volt AC outlet, supplying an average power output of 1.3 kW to 2.4 kW. This power output is equivalent to 3-5 miles of EV range per hour. An overnight charge will add 30-50 miles of range, sufficient for many commuters. A full charge for an empty EV battery can take over 24 hours.

What is a Level 2 EV Charger?

The Ford Mobile Charger that came with your all-electric vehicle is a Level 2 charging unit. It can be plugged into any available 240V wall outlet. These charging units operate at 208-240 V and output anywhere from 3 kW to 19 kW of AC power. This power output equals about 18-28 miles of range per hour. An average electric vehicle can be fully charged in 8 hours or less. When plugging in the Ford Mobile Charger, be sure the connector is flush. You will hear a click when it is fully inserted. If your charger is not flush, you may see a yellow light, and your vehicle will not charge.
