How Can I Prepare for the End of My Lease?

If repairs aren't made, the charges will be added to your Lease-End Liability Invoice. Some other ways to prepare your vehicle as you get closer to the end-date are to remove all personal items, and erase any information that might be saved to the navigation system, infotainment system, or address book. These steps will make sure nothing gets left behind at the end of your lease.
What is Excess Wear?
As we mentioned above, sometimes your end-of-lease inspection will reveal excess wear in your vehicle, which you may be charged for depending on the damage. We want to fill you in on what this might refer to, so that you can take extra care in preventing these sorts of damages from happening. According to Chevrolet, this may include 4 or more dings per panel of your vehicle, for example, five on one car door, or permanent staining to the interior fabric. If a spill does happen, make sure to clean it up as soon as possible so that you can prevent a stain from setting in. Other excess wear includes ripped upholstery measuring more than ? of an inch, cracked glass or headlights, and any scratches or dents larger than 6 inches.
