Trim Levels of the Chevy Traverse
What engine powers the Traverse?
Whenever you are searching for your next ride, we are well aware of the fact that whatever is underneath the hood is the make-or-break moment in your search. That's why we are so excited to share with you the engine that you will find in this SUV that Chevy has been developing. As opposed to the previous engine, you will now be getting a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. You'll be able to get around 317 pound-feet of torque and 315 horsepower here, which works with either front-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive. It's important to remember that all-wheel drive is optional, but that just means there is more choice depending on what specific customers are searching for. You'll also be getting an eight-speed automatic transmission, and as much as 5,000 pounds of towing capability. If you want a midsize SUV that won't let you down, you need the Traverse.
Can you tell me about the Traverse Z71?
One of the biggest additions to this completely rejuvenated Chevy Traverse is the Z71 trim level. This is the kind of Traverse offering that is perfect for anyone who wants to head off into the wilderness, and forgo pavement completely. This kind of capability is something that the Traverse hasn't seen until now. You'll be getting an SUV with increased ground clearance, along with an increase to the track width to help when it comes to capability, handling, and stability. We also have to mention the all-terrain tires that work with 18-inch wheels that are completely exclusive to this specific trim. Other standard features include a trailering package, a twin-clutch AWD system, a specific Terrain Mode, unique dampers with hydraulic rebound control, a unique front fascia, skid plates, red tow hooks, and hill descent control.
What safety comes with the Chevy Traverse?
A key ingredient to the success of any vehicle is finding something that can keep the driver and passengers secure at all times. That's why we are so excited to bring you the full suite of safety that you will gain with the Traverse. You'll be getting front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, automatic emergency braking, IntelliBeam high beam assist, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, a following distance indicator, and lane departure warning. Chevy isn't done just yet! Additional driver aids include speed limit assist, reverse automatic braking, rear park assist, blind zone steering assist, HD surround vision, lane change alert, traffic sign recognition, and intersection automatic emergency braking.
