The V6 comes standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and it also features the eTorque mild-hybrid system. For an impressive 480 lb-ft of torque, you can upgrade to the 3.0-liter diesel engine. Up next, upper trim levels offer a powerful 5.7-liter V8 available with or without the eTorque mild-hybrid system. This engine delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The fourth and final engine option is the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 rated at 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. This engine is reserved for the TRX trim, which offers off-road and performance features. When properly equipped, the 2023 Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds.
